Yoga for Kids From 2 -12 years
Our kids classes for 2 – 12-year-olds combine learning, yoga poses, free movement, breathing techniques, games and relaxation techniques. Yoga helps children build developmental skills as well as gross motor skills strengthen and centres.
For the young students, certain poses quickly become familiar favourites and are repeated to encourage mastery while for the older students, more advanced poses and activities are introduced gradually to stimulate and challenge.
Movement-based stories and exciting themes take the kids on adventures and threaded through the tales are teachable moments during which children are able to voice their own thoughts and questions. Our stories and themes reinforce values such as kindness, respect, peace and self-love.
Our yoga-inspired activities to encourage students to practice both independence and team building. A variety of activities and approaches ensure that all kids will feel welcomed, challenged and engaged.
